Looks good and lunch does too! I don't think I'll ever get into removing that much material with a mallet and chisel. Nice job so far.

Ed, i used a chisel but no mallet. i drilled holes in the side, took jigsaw and cut down to the holes, then took chisel and chuncked the wood out. thats as you see it in picture. after lunch used coping saw and chisel trying to shape curve, then dremel, low spots a pain.
