Darex Sharpener question

I have a Derex sharpener that says it's a precision drill sharpener. It came with an attachment that looks like a small 3" x 6" tilting table. My question is if this unit can be modified or adjusted to sharpen hand planes or chisels? If so, how would one do this? The tilting table is to the right in the photograph; many of the accessories are left out of he photograph as well. Thank you.
