Sycamore scrap 2

I hollowed a few more vessels from the sycamore branch in our back woods. Each had some break-out around the mouth. One, however, exploded in half while on the lathe. I was glad that I was wearing my face shield!! Can you guess which one split in half?
I should have tucked the foot a bit more on the smaller (front) vessel.

Sure is some pretty wood! Glad you weren't hurt when the wood blew up on you!
