It may help to know I don't think it is in stock yet...

At the end of last year I bought the Polar Bear 14". I put it together and made test cuts. I didnt have to set the fence for drift. I think the saw had been put together and test run before shipping. For the money, it's a very inpressive saw...

What is the diff between this and the G0555?

The LX is not in their on-line catalog. From what little info is in the flyer, the only difference I can see is cast iron wheels on the LX.
It says it is normally $545 but it's not listed. The 555 is normally $525.

I recently sold my G0555 in favor of a G0514x2 (stealth gloat), but I'm still interested in the old girl. I don't see the logic in this. They already have the G0555x and the G0555 and the G0555P. I never found the wheels on the G0555 lacking.

Now, if I were Grizzly, I'd consider making a G0555"B" saw with upgraded bearings and bearing assemblies, but that's about it ;)

Hm. Interested in possibly ordering one of these, but they aren't available on the website like the flyer says (yet). Where did you find out about this flyer?

The saw was actually showing on their website for a little while last night but it clicked through to the main page, so curious I did some googling, now it comes up thrid behind the two threads here but yesterday the press release I posted came up first.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. If this actually gets released I'm tempted, especially at $445.

One other small difference I noticed was the blade speeds: the 555 is 1500/3200. This new 555LX is listed as 1800/3100.

For anyone looking for an entry level 14" saw it will be hard to ignore at the intro price. For around $565 (liftgate shipped) it will be hard to beat, I think they will sell a lot of them.
