Here is a little wild cherry bowl I made last week. The wood has been laying outside for a year or two and appears to have started spalting. The figure is really great. I have a little more of this stuff but unfortunately the pieces are not really large.
The bowl is slightly over two inches in diameter and height. Sanded to 400 grit and then several coats of Mylands sanding sealer. Final step was buffing with the Beall system. I love that. This bowl was so smooth it just felt good.
My daughter cooked Easter dinner so it went with me to her house as a gift.
