I turned more pens yesterday, tried the ca finish on 5 of them the dark pens started out purple(purple hart?) does this happen to purple hart?. This is my first time using the ca finish.
The tool I made from 3/8" square stock and the handle is made from some 1-1/2" structural plywood with a watco oil finish.
