Eight Layers

I need help in removing at least eight layers of paint from what appears to be Oak doors in a house built in the 40s. TIA.

I used stuff called CITRISTRIP which I bought at Rocklers a while back that took 6 layers off some trim that I wanted to keep. It took a couple of coats but it wasn't nasty like the old paint removers I've used. Pretty good stuff.
You may want to be careful if you do any sanding and there are little children around. There's most likely lead in the old paint.

I bought some from HD, I think Lowes carries it too. It worked well on the several layers of paint I had to remove from some trim. Also removed the layer of shellac that was under the paint.
