Joe, you always do a nice job on these! Personally, I enjoy the forms you do that are less "full" and I am drawn more to the reds and blues. Nonetheless, NICE!

For some reason I'm not totally down with the coloring on this. But the form is great. I tend to like the "fuller" HF's. I wouldn't mind a less abrupt edge at the bottom. I know there are two schools of thought on that. Some like a squared off "foot" and others prefer a rolled edge. Personally, I think it depends on the form. This one seems like it would benefit from the softer foot. But I think it really comes down to personal preference and this is an excellent form either way.

Very nice Joe........we have come to have high expectations whenever you post a picture of your work........you did not disappoint with this form.........love the layering of the colors to bring out the look you have..........perhaps each viewer has their own partiality to the color spectrum choices, but this is first rate!

Very nicely done, I love the form and the dye job is fantastic. This piece reminds me of a question I've had for a while. Most pieces I see with this basic form have a slightly upturned neck/rim like this one. I am curious about that neck/rim design, why is it so common? I could see if a finial-top was in the hole, it might make a better transition.

Really stunning work Joe! I like the form and color. When you put the dye on is the piece still on the lathe? Do you finish the piece after the form is complete and removed from the lathe? As you can tell by my questions I'm new to turning.
