It's not obsolete yet, even though Sketchup and other software solutions are available, sometimes it's just as easy to knock out a quick layout the good 'ol fashioned way on grid paper. This freebie is configurable to produce a variety of grids, colors, line widths, sheet sizes, etc. and saves it in a .PDF file for you to keep on your local drive.
