This box appeared yesterday from Philip Labre. A very nice piece of dry spalted curly maple that is just begging to become the next "amphora", some smaller pieces of ash, cherry and curly maple and the "star turn", a sweet little birch burl cap. I've never turned birch burl but this shows some real promise!

Glad to see it made it, David. That piece of spalted probably isn't dry enough yet, but everything else is. Look forward to seeing what you produce. If things become a little less hectic, I'll try and cut some more pieces in the sizes you would like. Till then, I hope this will tide you over.

David, these pieces should work in well with the new "Minimalist" series!! Nice gesture, Phil!

DD, wasn't sure if you had a use for the curly maple flooring cut offs, but there was room, and I'm tired of just burning most of them.

Well I'm gonna save those up until I have enough for my bedroom...
