Laser Engraver X Adjustment Help

I have a 2005 Mercury M-25 laser engraver. I recently noticed that all items we engrave or moved to the right 1/4". I tried to engrave a single vertical line as far left as the machine would allow, and it is 1/4" away from the build in ruler. Besides changing our templates, is there a way to adjust the laser 1/4"?

On my Explorer you have to enter the "set origin" by holding the "enter" button and turning on the laser. It will power up into a mode where you can move the 0,0 position. Not sure if it's the same in the Mercury. One thing though - the 0,0 shouldn't change inadvertently, you should find out what changed before you reset it.

Just a thought, I don't have a Mercury either but I'd suggest checking the micro switches on my machine they have some position adjustment, if they have come loose and moved forward it may account for your extra movement.
