What a nice surprise, Jack & Robert from Walter Meier (Powermatic & Jet) stopped in today to see how I like my new lathe and to see some of my work. Jack, the regional rep, has been in before. I built him a humidor a while back. It was really nice that they took so much interest in my work. They also slipped and told me there's a new PM 4224 in the makes. I think it'll be more curvaceous and possibly a sliding head stock. I also heard rumor of them giving away numerous tools at the AAW symposium. So if you're going, be sure to stop in and say hi to them and get the details. I have to say, they have really been a pleasure to deal with and talk about personal service, just beyond any expectation. Not often that a company will go out of their way like that. PM gets an A+++ in my book.
