You'll recall during the recent Milwaukee WW show, Jeff Sudmeier got me an ice chest full of venison! As a follow/up, early last week, I obtained a recipe off the web for venison stew . Using the roast portion, I sautéed the meat w onions, etc and then slow cooked for 6 hours in Crock Pot w Mushrooms, carrots, etc. Than added more spices and simmered overnight. It was OUTSTANDING! My son in law, also a venison lover, also loved it but it is not a favorite of LOML .;) Anyway, I wanted to publicly thank Jeff for his effort! We enjoyed it! I may make the next batch a little "hotter"!:D
