The taller vessel is bigleaf maple burl, harvested locally, bubinga, eastern maple, African padauk and gabon ebony. 7.75" x 7.75"

The fat one is curly something (had it for a few years and forgot what it was), bubinga, bocote, cocobolo, quilted western maple, eastern maple, black dyed costello, bloodwood and gabon ebony. 10.75" x 5"

Both are shot with semi-gloss lacquer, though the top ebony ring on the fat one is buffed to high gloss.

Nice work Montgomery. The form, design and colors go extremely well together. I especially like the segmented band that you can see so easily from the opening.

Nice, Nice, Nice......!!!!!

Montgomery, I will have to say, these are some of the nicer segmented turnings I have seen! I really like the taller one. Forms are very good, joinery is excellent, and a love the wood combos. Great work!!

Oooh........those are pretty! Nice work indeed Montgomery! I am going to learn how to do that! I got my copy of Malcolm's book yesterday........have not had time to get into it yet...........looks like I won't be able to until maybe next week ......dealing with funerals, and other services this weekend.........much prep time!

Very nice indeed. Excellent form and wonderful choice of woods. Your patterns are very pleasing as well.

Nice work! I like them both but the accent ring on the short one is really cool!

Those are great. I like them both, but the smaller one stands out the most for me.
