My wife surprised me last week, with a new addition to the shop, for use on my upcoming trestle table project. This is my first forray into the world of mustard colored tools. First project using mortise and tenon joinery. Should be fun.

Congratulations on the wife! (That's what the gloat was about, right?) I build things for mine, and she encourages acquiring the tools to do it.

I'm not sure about the powermatic compared to my delta, but make sure your chisels are sharp. HCM's are notorious for coming with dull chisels. Enjoy the machine! I'm breaking mine out today for the first time in a while and am looking forward to using it.
