I was given an old radial-arm saw with a NEMA 6-15 plug on the end. Can this be switched over to a more common 5-15?
I just realized this might be 220V??!!

It is 240V so you'll need a 240V circuit to power it or maybe you can re-wire the motor to 120V and replace the 6-15 with a 120V plug. You'll have to check the motor label plate to see if it can be wired for 120V and what current it draws.

All NEMA "6-" series plugs are intended for 220-240 volt (2 hots and a ground). "5-" series are for 110-120 volt (hot-neutral-ground). So no, you can't change it.
