Well the new girl in my harem arrived - the LV Scraper plane. She's still pure as the driven snow, but will be broken in soon. The two mini planes in the front from LV are also new additions. The LN 60-1/2R rabbet plane I ordered is still on backorder through FTJ, so she couldn't be here for the photo shoot. Before I threw out the box from my recently installed roller table, I thought I'd take advantage of that big white background and line all my girls up for a look-see. Here's the chorus line:

Back Row (L to R):
LN #1, Millers Falls #4, LN Bronze #4, LN #62 LA Jack (my personal favorite), #5 Oriental Clone, #6 Oriental Clone (bought both of the clones for $12.99 at a closeout - they're surprisingly not that bad after lapping/tuning)

Stanley Trim Plane, Millers Falls Trim Plane

Third Row (L to R):
LV Flush Trim Plane, LN Small Scraper, LV Scraper (very sweet girl - can't wait to use her), Stanley LA Block, LN 9-1/2 Std Angle Block, LN 60-1/2 LA Block, Stanley Router Plane, Stanley #93 Shoulder Plane

Second Row (L to R):
AMT Bullnose Plane, AMT Rabbet Plane, Stanley Side Rabbet

Front Row (L to R):
Stanley #80 Scraper, Anant Flat Sole Spokeshave, Anant Curved Sole Spokeshave, LV Mini Block Plane, LV Mini Bullnose Plane

Guess I better get busy on some projects so these girls don't feel neglected.

You know something? I would have better luck rounding up a bunch of women for a harem than spending enough money to stock a wood shop with that many planes. I know my wife would complain less about the "other" woman than she would about the money spent on all that stuff:)

One of these days. I've got another few things to build that I've been promising folks for a while. In the meantime, most of them have their own little plane sacks to wear and they usually end up stored back in their original box too. Only way for now that I can keep corrosion away from them. That and TopCoat.
