"HUGE" Curly Flame Box Elder Bowl

I am posting this for a friend of mine that brought it to our turners meeting last week. I gave him a "Large" piece of Box Elder a while back and this is just "1" of the pieces to come from it. I laid one of my pens in there for a comparision. This bowl is just unreal. The flame and curl is just stunning. It's well over 22" wide and about 11 plus inches deep. The log I gave him was over 1000lbs and about 38" through. The whole log was "Curly" and extreamly nice. C&C Welcome.

WOW! That's fantastic! I don't think I've ever seen Box Elder with all of those characteristics together and on such a large scale. Very cool!

Wow, I've got quite a bit of box elder on my property and have never cut into one with anywhere near this much figure, very nice "and big"
