out of round turning 1

I'm playing around with trying to turn pieces that are out of round. I'm repositioning the waste block on the face plate. No hollowing out on this one though. Persimmon about 4 1/2" x 5" x 1 3/4 tall. Persimmon really takes a polish, smooth as glass.

Deane, it does have a certain anatomical quality to it, but I find it interesting. If I understand, this is a solid piece of wood - is it flat on the opposite side?
