I recently purchased this used North State 3hp shaper for $400.00. It has only seen limited hobby use. The deal included a Freud door system (List price $419) and several other cutters.

I have a question for the shaper experts out there. This summer I will be building several shutters that will be exposed to direct sun. I would like to use tenons on the rails that extend all of the way through the stiles rather than the short tenons that you get with most cope and stick cutter sets. This is intended to reduce any warping from exposure to the elements. Do I need a stub spindle and special cutter for this operation? If so, where can I purchase the spindle and cutter?
