Little late in getting pics out, this is the table that I had a finishing problem with but it ended up coming out good. Finished it just in time for Christmas Eve dinner. First X working with WL SF, strange stuff. As I had said in some past threads it was extremely glossy after the last coat of SF Satin, to my surprise it settled down quite nice after a couple of months like Ken and others had said it would. Has a nice sheen to it now. Now for the chairs.

Beautiful. I love the sheen. The cherry really "pops" Did you make the Pedestal too?

I agree 100%. That table is a beauty. Very well done in all aspects. I appreciate your concern about the finishing process. To me that is the most stressful part of the job. All the hard work and high expectations and then you just have to hope the finish turns out as nice as your woodwork. Yours certainly did.

Lovely end result. I enjoyed the thread on the finishing too. I am ready to try experimenting with some varnishes and was thinking of starting with WL.

Yes John, I did make the pedestal, I added extra blocks on the inside to give added support for the tenons, the only thing I did'nt make was the equalizer slides. 228245228246228247228248

Thanks for posting the details.... It looks very sturdy on the inside and beautiful on the outside. Job well done.
