dithering shows up on the engraving

Hi all
I got a probleme I try to engrave a few golf cart picture which I imported in to PHcad and dithered with different ssettings from 0.1 to 0.001 but during engraving the dithering points and lines showing up.
do somebody know why this is?

Can you show us a picture?

If PHCad is similar to Laserwork (I gather they are related) then you'll find the dithering isn't adequately controllable to get best results and you'll be better producing a 1 bit dithered image in other software. You'll also need to match the lpi or scan gap to suit the source material, either manually or automatically.
