I just cut out a bunch of tags from rowmark and cleaned them with soapy water and thought I did a pretty good job but when I stacked them all up I realized that even after washing the edges are slightly tacky. Is there an easy way to clean the edges?

Try wiping the edges down with denatured alcohol.

I have a sheet of 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper on my bench and run the edges across very quickly. It's a little tedious but only takes a second per tag and makes a huge difference.

One of the most frequent questions, there are many ideas if you search from pencil erasers to various liquids.

I just rinse them in water, an leave them overnight. I find the tacky goo is dried and gone by the next morning.

Other than masking the surface, I've never cleaned rowmark & I have done a lot of it. Are you using too much power? Just enough to go 95%-99% through is all that is needed. Also one of the best investments I've made is one of those self-healing mats for cutting. It holds things more study and more level than my old cutting grid.

Bill that is what I ended up doing and when I came in this morning after reading you suggestion I looked at them and sure enough most of the stickiness was gone.

I use 200 grit sandpaper for the edges and lighter fluid/GooGone for the top surface to get the smoke haze off.

DNA for all sides - clean and smell-free when it evaporates.

I find that most Citrus cleaners work, Paint Thinner will work as well, but Goo Gone is the best by far

Alcohol has always done a pretty decent job for me. i am a little wary about the Googone as it might mar the surface. If anyone thinks otherwise, let me know

I use mineral spirits but it would be nice if Rowmark could somehow manufacture the plastic to have less cleanup after cutting.

I prefer sandpaper to anything else. It cleans up any defects in the edge from not cutting all the way through as well.

I switched from DNA to GooGone because the DNA was affecting the finish.
