Hey all,

I've finally got my Delta Contractor's saw up and running (and aligned) in my new shop space - after a two year hiatus. The basement was just too small.

Before the two years, I was just using the stock splitter after having removed the guard. Though it worked just fine, it was quite painful to have to remove it for blade changes and/or dado work.

I'm ready to buy - what is the preferred splitter and where can I buy it.

Thanks in advance,
-joe

I can't imagine needing more than the "delta removable splitter". It can be had by ordering it from delta parts dept for $31 bucks. The install manual can be found at biesemeyer.com.

What Tim Said...

It's Delta P/N 1349941. Call Delta at 800-223-7278.

I use the Delta Removable or the MicroJig splitter, depending on my mood and the cuts to be made. I think Lee Valley now carries the MJ splitter for either thin or regular kerf blades. They are about $15 and they just snap in and out of a a ZC throat plate. Very convenient. They also act as a mini featherboard.
