It is, of course, a thing of great beauty. After studying the photo for quite some time, I humbly submit that there is only one small flourish I would add: given the style of the the main casting, I would break the uninterrupted, inside curvature of the rear handle (closest to the iron) with a shallow, styllized bird's mouth.

This plane is just beautiful. I love the pic with the wispy shaving too, pics with the product of such a tool always add to it's appeal!
