Some of you may recall of me telling on myself about honing a chipbreaker thinking i was doing the plane iron. Today I had a dado to cleanup and my LV Coachmaker plane was ideal. I spruced up the micro bevel, wiped the iron clean and oiled it. I put it on the work bench and puttered with something else. I picked up the just honed iron and out of habit checked the edge. It was as dull as a hoe. All sorts of thoughts raced through my mind. I was ready to start over and it hit me. I was fondling the chip breaker!
