Cherry Maple?

I roughed this bowl out last July and forgot to label the bag :o It's 7" x 3" and finished with laquer sanding sealer then buffed. It didn't seem like it would benefit from any more finish and it will likely be ornamental. I was thinking it was maple but others think cherry. I have both so it could be either :)

Kevin - it looks like cherry to me also. I have a similar bowl with bark, etc that is finished with multlple coats of Danish Oil and buffed and it has a really nice feel and is still an ornamental bowl. You should try DO or a home brew along with tripoli buffing.

This looks really nice. I like the bark remnants. I agree that it looks like cherry to me
