Hello,

I am posting for a friend who lives in SW Pennsylvania. He is looking for curly cherry to fabricate kitchen cabinets with. Does anybody have any recommendations for the area?

I appreciate your time.
Thanks,
Kyle

I buy my curly cherry at Hearne Hardwoods (http://www.hearnehardwoods.com). (And I just found out last week that my second cousin works there...hee hee)

The one place that I know of near our area in SW Pennsylvania is just across the border in Southington Ohio at Doll Lumber.
They have a warehouse with their "exotic" woods standing on end in racks ready for your perusal. About 50 or 60 different types.
Directions - North/west on I76 (the turnpike)
Cross into Ohio to old exit 14 (don't know new exit number) but exit at Route 5 and proceed west One (1) mile to Ohio Route 534.
Turn north on 534 - go about 4-5 miles to Doll Lumber on left (Sign by road)
Takes about 1-3/4 hours for me - from the east side of Pittsburgh (Exit 58 on PA turnpike)(58 miles from Ohio)
Daniel

I just thought of another lumber company
Mars Lumber in Mars PA
Just north of the turnpike (north of Route 79 exit - north of Pittsburgh)
It's kind of between Route 79 and Route 8
Check out a map and formulate your own way to get there.
Because you "can't get there from here"
