Funerals and engraving

In the last couple weeks I have had several jobs that came to me from a local funeral home after the found out what I do. It is something that I had never thought of before but it might be worthwhile to introduce yourself to local funeral homes and let them know what you are able to do, I have found out that may people want engraving on urns and caskets other than stock designs that the homes offer.

We actually engrave casket & urn plates for a local funeral home. It can be a decent source of income but some funeral homes may already have engraving options through their suppliers. I ran into this problem when trying to get another funeral home interested in our services.

The guys that were in here today said that the one in town offers two options for engraving, a deer or an american flag (deer hunting is a big thing in the area, it isn't uncommon for business to be closed for the nine day season here)
