So Im going to make some small upright magazine boxes for her to store some magazines.

I was going to use 1/4 oak plywood or birch, but I noticed the plywood dealer has UV Finished 1/4" Drawer Bottom Plywood.

Anything wrong with going with this instead? It was only 5 bucks more but tons less work. I will be making the boxes using 1/4" finger joints. Will the drawer bottom plywood tear out different than regular 14" plywood?

Thanks
Adrian

I use pre-finished 1/4" ply all of the time for drawer bottoms. All I found here tho' was finished one side. I think you should be able to make box joints, just use sharp tools and a backer board with cutting them.
