I purchased an older Delta saw yesterday in nice condition but the electronic brake does not work. The saw is a 16" 5hp / 3phase motor. I'm trying to hunt down a replacement part, a relay I believe is what I'm looking for. I think its made by Potter & Brumfield with a part# of KU-90200. Can anyone tell me if this is what I need to repair the brake or is there something else that I should be looking at? Thanks in advance for any suggestions at all.

Also, the bearings were replaced a year ago so it's tight as a drum.

Sorry, can't help, but that is a big chunk of nice iron, congrats!

I don't think this saw will fall apart anytime soon. I picked it up for $650.00 and it runs great. I was told it might have come out of an old Home Depot at one time. I'd just like to repair the brake if it's possible.

What is the model number of the saw?
Does it have an electronic brake or friction brake?

Just a quick idea. Check that it's wired up right. Mine ran, and cut OK, although the brake didn't work. When I checked the wiring, it was wired for 460V, and I was running it on 230. I set it to 230, and the brake kicked in...

Might not be your issue, but worth a check, I'd think.

I can only make out the serial no. on the saw. but that didn't turn up anything. I will look into the wiring also. Thanks for the advice so far.
