Bahamas, or Bermuda shutters were an
architectural detail popular in Florida and
elsewhere in the '50's and '60's. They offer
excellent shade from the sun and protection
from the elements with a distinctive look and
character and also allow one- way viewing
when properly angled. The following is my
story on how I constructed these still very
useful window protectors.
