This little thing took forever once I started excavating all of the worm holes. I don't think that I will ever be a segmenter or carver!

1.5x5.5, finished with tung oil

Those must have been some hungry "carnivores" to make holes like that. Nice job keeping it in one piece. Make the extra work worth the effort.

Did it whistle as it spun? :) Doesn't look like it needs any carving, and you didn't even have to pay an assistant. A very cool piece.
