This is made from another small cut off. 4" X 1" If you think you see poorly finished edges on either side in the second picture, you are right. Don't lnow how I missed those. They are finished properly now AFTER the photo was taken. Grrrrr.

I don't see anything poorly done. I love the bowl. The transition from the "flats" to the bowl is really nice. It was a nice choice of wood for the project. Very nice.

Very nice. My first square bowl was virtually identical to yours other than being shallower. These are fun to turn, no matter if you turn them as truly square stock or if you use secondary wood during the turning as Steve Worchester teaches. For large ones, I'd go with the filler, but in this size, it's really good practice to do them with the square edges whirling around as it forces you to pay attention to your work as well as keep your tools sharp, sharp, sharp!!
