I forget the name of the company, but I recently saw a router table where the router is actually positioned in a horizontal position. Any one have any experience with this design?

Thanks,

Thanks. Good, bad or ugly? Just wondering...don't see much mentioned about them.

Also do a Google seach for other threads on Saw Mill Creek and other web sites. If memory serves me, there have been a few others I read over the years.

Very specialized router table. Probably either use it once or twice; or, it is a "gawd send' if doing enought projects to justify it.

A few years ago, Fine Wood Working had an article about fabricating a shop built horizontal router table. Some of the router how-to-do-it books also have plans on building one.

Myself, I Have often thought that I "need" one, but just could never justify the cost for something I probably would not use that much.

Think I saw it in the MLCS catalog.

Brent,
FWIW - I never got past the "thinking about it" stage.
I ran into a killer deal on a Rockler #1 router table top/router plate and went that way instead.
