Boy my laser is really frustrating me lately!!
I keep getting the above error message as soon as I fire up the laser. I put in a new x flex cable. It worked for a while and then died again. I rotated it. Nothing. Put in the old one. Nothing. I cleaned the encoder strip. Still nothing. I can't get it to work. I really don't want to call Epilog again and I'm fresh out of ideas. Any suggestions?
And of course this happens just as things are starting to pick up:mad:

There's a thread discussing this error from last month, look it up. Essentially it says to look for anything that prevents the axis returning to the system home. If it cannot find home at start-up it errors out. If during a job, it errors out, could be the x-axis motor or something interrupting the mirror head's travel.

I had that problem and it was the motor. The replacement was reinforced to prevent stress on the shaft. As I recall it was a couple of hundred and a pretty easy installation with their instruction sheet.
