I'm looking for examples of well-built, accurate mitre stands. No luck in searches here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Hans

Are you looking for a portable stand or will it be stationary?

Hi Hans,
Lot's of great threads on this such as:
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?139092-Please-show-me-your-miter-saw-stand-design!

Had you "spelt" mitre" as miter, the search "programme" would have put you in the "centre" of some great threads. You'll need a "litre" of coffee to "labour" your way through the all information! "cheque" it out!

Just like a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while and a broken clock is right twice a day,,,,,,sometimes Sears (Craftsman) comes up with a real gem.

I liked mine so much that when they went on sale again for $79.00, I picked up a second one.
No way - no how could I come anywhere close to building one as heavy duty & with all the fixtures and features for that price.

I have a few links to contribute. I wish I had time to construct a stand so that I could include it in the post. :-)

Steve, that's a great list! That 4th link is really close to what I've been envisioning and I've been holding off on the project until I figured out a dust box for the saw. That's a nice one. Thanks to you, and to Rick Cabot if he is still a member, for the inspiration.

Ricks is sure nice. Two things I don't like is that the saw doesn't sit tight to the tables and the kreg track is mile away. Also, rather than center the saw with tracks on both sides, I prefer putting the track system on the left and having a shorter table on the right. Much longer capacity, and if you have really long boards you can either flip them, or use a roller stand out to the right.
