Since I built my vacuum chuck, I have always found it to be somewhat in the way or getting covered in dust. So after the PM 3520 upgrade, I started trying to condense what I had into a storable clean container. This is what I came up with, a $24 tool box. I made a plywood base to hold the pump with uprights for the vacuum manifold and switch. Originally I intended to drill holes in the box, but found with a tight fitting base, it was unnecessary. So If I have to work on something, I just lift the whole rig out of the box now.

Now that is nifty! Any concerns about airflow to the cooling fan?

BTW Nice bandsaw - is that a 14SUV?

Jon, I've ran it for a while and with the box open, the pump motor has plenty of room and air flow. It's really not that deep in the box.

Now that is nifty! Any concerns about airflow to the cooling fan?

Looks like a nice - compact - solution! Now you can take your vacuum system with you!! Now that is prepared!!

Now that is thinking outside... I mean inside the box.

Nice little setup Josh, I've been considering minimizing the room my system takes up, I may borrow some ideas.
