I've seen a couple mentions of table saw blades ground to ~9 degree angle for cutting dovetails. Are these regular blades being reground, or does someone sell such a blade? Would a normal blade sharpening service be able to precisely regrind to a new angle?

I recently built a blade at 7° for a customer. I was skeptical until I tried it. It actually worked well. A good jig is necessary. Whether your sharpening service can do it depends on the sharpener and their equipment.

Forrest will grind them especially for this.

Scroll down, second from the bottom, or just search for the word "dovetail".

IIR both forrest and Ridge carbide will do this for an up charge? It seems perhaps unnecessary if you are willing to stay just behind your line and pare the last fraction with a sharp chisel.
