OT-How Do You Clean the Exterior of a Fiberglass RV?

I just bought a 4 year old travel trailer. Its fiberglass and the paint is really oxidized, can I use auto polishing compound and wax on it? Not rubbing compound, but the the kind of polish formulated for clear coat paint. Thanks
