Bad Dealings

I have been putting this off because I was not sure what to say if anything. You can do with this as you please. I had posted on here last year that I was looking for a rotary attachment for my Epilog. I had a William ( Bill) Blasi from Laserworks N. C. and Morven Automation call me and said his company made them for all types of lasers. I went to his web site to make sure he was a real company. I ordered one from him in May 2011 I paid him in full a total of $692.94 and I have not gotten it and he is not answering his phone or e-mails.In November i contacted the BBB in Charlotte N. C. and he is avoiding them also. The only reason I am sending this is to warn others not to deal with this company. I was just trying to save money. i just don't want any other person to get taken by him.

Gail,

You're not alone... in fact, if you did a search on here about that guy, you'd find other posts about him taking money and giving nothing back in return. Recently, someone posted on here a Craigslist ad with him trying to sell the business (customer list, tooling, etc.). The guy is a crook, plain and simple, and if you don't mind the time, I would suggest contacting the attorney general in his state and file your story with them. Don't forget to add the people you find by doing a search here, too.

Yep, had a bad experience with him also. The most recent thing I've seen is him trying to sell the business now.

It's ashame that people do business like, one thing to file away any one can make a web page look good.
That's the difference with the internet than with "brick and morter places" you could be running a business
out of the trunk of a car and no one would know any different.

I have found out the BBB really doesn't do alot for the disreputable ones. What I would suggest is to
write to the Attorney General of the state he is in. Sometimes something a bit more official does the trick.

Also I believe he works off Ebay, contact them with your issues, that way it's more difficult for him to
keep on ripping people off.

If you paid by a charge card you can inform them and they may be able to at least help you recover
your money.

You might try the attorney general of NC but I wouldn't hold out too much hope.

Just to offer some guidelines for posts of this type; Gail has substantiation for her position. That is different than a third party offering hearsay as the only verification of a claim. It is that kind of post we'll keep a close watch on.

Gail has clearly provided a service to all of us and I hope she has good luck in resolving the matter.

He was on ebay as "wig-win" but they booted him off after I filed a complaint against him when he repeatedly failed to deliver and then admitted to to me that he used a "shill" to drive up one of his auctions. He was trying to sell his "business" on ebay before they finished their review and booted him, but they wouldn't shut down his auction so I posted my own auction with the same title as his. In my auction, I offered for sale a color filled acryllic placque engraved "By not sending w!lli@m Bl@si, L@serwork5NC my $$$ for laser rotary attachments or business, I don't lose my -wig- so I -win!" I got a handful of messages from people in response, some saying they'd been taken by his deceit, some saying they were on the verge of sending him money for a rotary, some asking whether I knew if he was legit (NO!). So, I guess it did some good... I also had a web page up for a while with accounts of his misdeeds. Last I knew, his web site was taken down and the NC attorney general office was supposedly trying to intervene.

If one makes the effort to check, they'll see that the BBB rates his operation "F" due to at least 5 unanswered non-delivery/product compaints and failure to respond to BBB inquiries.

You can report him on Facebook as having multiple accounts. According to their TOS you can only have one. I reported him. Open any of the four pages and click on the little wheel looking icon to the right of "add friend" and "message" - select "Report/Block" and paste the following:
