Hi....

I'm looking for exotic hardwoods, like rosewood (any kind), lacewood, Padauk, and other exotic woods that are 1/4 to 3/8" thick and any length from 3" to 12" wide (I can cut them to the width I need). Can any suggest any wood companies that might carry these thicknesses of wood?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Both Woodcraft and Rockler carry thin woods

Thin woods will typically cost three or four times the "board foot" price of "full thickness" lumber. If you need much you might be better off picking up a used band saw and resawing your own...

Dave - Bell Forest Products (http://www.bellforestproducts.com/exotic-wood-blanks/) carries quite a variety.

Wall Lumber(Google it) in Mayodan, NC carries a good selection in 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2" Domestic and exotic 5Ft bundles. They ship most everywhere.
Also Mann Tool & Supply in Columbia, SC

Yup, Tony beat me to it - www.walllumber.com. That's where I've just recently purchased african mahogany, they're good folks to deal with. Ditto on price for the thin stuff vs. being able to resaw.

Check ebay. Search for thin lumber.
