So I picked up a quite rusted lion trimmer off of craigslist and am gong to clean it up this weekend.

Any pitfalls I should be aware off? Other than slicing off a finger . . . (Funny story, I have a starfleet-insignia-shaped scar at the base of my thumb from reaching over one too quickly when I was 15)

Anything I need to do to make sure its square and true when I reassemble?

What is the second tapped hole at the 90 degree setting for? The one I bought has a screw in it.

Thanks!

I have an original Lion trimmer that I bought new, and also have the original owners manual. PM me a snail mail address and I will send you a photocopy.

One word of caution. When the cutter is all the way to one side watch out for the sharp point that is sticking out the end. Get in the habit of leaving the cutter in the middle when not in use so it is not exposed. I have got myself on this a couple of times. Its sharp!

I have an original Lion trimmer (Pootatuck!). There are adjustments for the wings to adjust for square and 45 degrees.
