* (I have waited 47 years to be able to use that) :o

My one year old urban logging operation has had a few logs sawn into lumber. So we needed a lumber rack. So we built one. We began with a few oak logs' worth of 3x3s and 1x3s, and using simple sandwich construction, a chop saw and "a few 'brads' ", 3 guys built this 15,000bf behemoth in one day. Each full bay can hold ~500 bf of 10' boards.

Hi Tom, Looks like an amazing operation. You do this in downtown St Louis. Next flight into STL, I'm coming over to see this in person.
take care,
John

If my whole shop were as big as just your rack, I'd be a happy man.
Awesome.

hi tom

that is what I had to do as well. Right now I don't want to cut any more, because I am out of space. Those racks make pulling lumber so much easier

I'm going to look you up and come get some wood. Appointments on Saturdays, right?

Thats one heck of a rack.

Ya know, I've never said that to a man before...

That's a really nice setup, Tom...and it ain't gonna move anywhere on its own! I wish I had a place to do a rack like that as it would certainly make for more efficient storage than my present setup and allow for more "inventory" to be brought in when the "price is right".
