Can anybody share details on the interlock defeat device for Epilogs? What specific function(s) it perform(s) (other than merely defeating the interlock)? Is it just a switch (or switches)? Wiring connections to the DB9 pins? Thanks.

I vaguely recall it being some DB-9 connector that plugs in, though I have no idea what pins it short circuits.

On the TT, it allows you to fire the laser by pushing a button while the lid is up.. This is the tool used by the TT to fire the laser for alignment checking.. At least for my machine it is.. Epilog loaned me one to align the new tube, I was tempted to pop it open and take note of the pinouts, but forgot before had to send it back.. They only want 150 bucks for it, and by the time I sourced the parts, and stuck it all together I might as well just buy it the next time I have to replace the tube, rather than ship it back.
