I got this wood several months ago from Dony Lawson but wasn't quite sure what to do with it. When I went to the TAW symposium I did one of the seminars put on by a Dale Larson on how to get the most out of a log. He talked in detail about how to deal with a Crotch and I learned a lot. Anyway, I just had to try it. So far, I have the bowl about done and have a roughed out a platter. The bowl is about 14" diam x 3" tall. I'll post the platter later. Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

This pile of chips from a bowl and a platter.....REALLY? ....you never told me it would be this kind of mess.
There were 55 gallons of chips! What a mess

Fabulous piece. Gotta keep those bottoms flat like that to get the most out of the feather.

I need to throw that on the lathe and see what's in there. I'm glad you scored a nice piece, and you done an excellent job on bringing out the feathering. Thanks for sharing.
