Centerpiece Table Bowl

It seems this piece of Maple had enough character to turn into a smallish table bowl. It is 6.25 x 5. Wood was on it way to becoming pretty punky, but did provide some interesting contrasts in it's colors. Lacquer seal coat, WOP, beall buffed with ren wax as its finish.

Really rustic look, Dan! I like the form, and upon seeing it, I thought it much larger. You did a nice job with the curves on this one.

That looks like it was a challenge. The grain and the angled NE keep tilting my head one way and then the other. Makes me want to pick it up and spill all the M&Ms. Pretty wood, nice form.

I had to Google Alpine, WY. That's God's country up there. Makes me want to get back and see the Tetons again.

Pretty much a winter wonderland around here. The Teton's are worth another look. Come on by and I'll fill the bowl up with M & M 's.
