I knew that stuff, but I really liked his presentation. Made it very, very clear about paying attention to your tpi when resawing. Thanks for passing this on!

Love the wooden band saw, it reminds me of my first band saw. I had one of the old Gil Built kit saws (18 inch with 123 inch blades:eek:) that came with all the metal hardware, electrical wiring and motor and detailed plans to build the frame and table. I picked it up at an auction (already put together) for $1.00; apparently no one wanted to deal with moving that monster. It got me through my first few bowl blanks but I ended up buying a new saw a few years later. Just couldn't get enough tension on the blade with the wooden frame.
