Fill tool problem in corel x5

When I use the post script fill tool basket weave and add a banner with a name on that, looks fine. But when I use laser the basket weave lasers over the banner. Works fine with stars from fill tool with banner. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? Ken

Not sure if this will help, but did you ensure that the banner order was brought to the front vs. the fill?

I would fill the banner with white and the text in black.

Thank you for the answers. I did as suggested and still lasers over banner. Guess I'll give up on it.

Here are a couple I did using PS fill then something on top of it. I wonder if your banner is a closed object. Try filling it with some other color to see if it can be filled. If not then you'll have to close the curve before filling.
