When I got too aggressive finishing the bottom of this bowl on the jumbo jaws, I blew the bottom out. Instead of adding the bowl to the scrap pile I incorporated a past hobby of stained glass. I cut a 3 inch round piece of glass mounted in bottom of bowl, and turned a new foot for it. Since making this big boo boo, I have made a few more glass bottomed bowls. your C & C's please. Ina

Great save Ian, now you have a great looking bowl. Like the matching coloring of the bowl and glass.

This makes you a Super Saver I guess. Did you dye to wood to match the glass or find the right color glass to match the dye? Just curious, either way I like it a lot!
